Alexis Peterson-Smalls, presented as a new player for Autopista Motor - KGM

Point guard Alexis Peterson-Smalls (1.65m, U.S./Germany, June 20, 1995, age 31) was introduced as Valencia Basket’s newest player for the upcoming season at an event held today at Autopista Motor, sponsored by KGM.

The German point guard comes from Villeneuve d'Ascq LM in France, where she competed in the EuroCup Women, averaging 14 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and a 17.6 efficiency rating per game. They reached the semifinals of the competition, where they lost by a narrow margin to Athinaikos. Previously, she played for many other teams across the continent, including Besiktas, Polkowice, and Basket Landes—with whom she competed in the EuroLeague Women—among others. She has been a member of the German national team since 2024, having played in the Paris Olympics, the last EuroBasket, and the recent World Cup, where the German team, as the host, finished in fourth place.

In her first remarks, the new player said, “I’m very excited to be here at Valencia Basket. I’ve heard so many wonderful things—it’s a great club to be a part of. I can’t wait to start the season, compete with these girls, and make Valencia Basket proud.”
